Dr. Chris Munchenberg

Practice Owner/Veterinarian

Dr Chris Munchenberg is the owner of Pets Health Veterinary Practices and the head veterinarian at the facilities. Chris graduated from Murdoch University, Perth, in 1988 before returning to Adelaide to serve the local pet community. When not at work, Chris spends time with his own pets – 2 Labradors, 2 French Bulldogs (the smallest thinks she’s a Labrador), a Great Dane Mix, 4 cats – and his wife Julie and their 3 daughters.

Centre Manager

Alison is our centre manager for both practices. With a love for learning, she has far too many qualifications, certificates and degrees to mention. She started with us in 2000 and is our longest-standing team member. Ali gets the most satisfaction from seeing individuals within our team grow and reach their unknown potential. She doesn’t give up easily! She has a Labrador mix called Harper and a domestic long-haired cat named Bumblebee. Oh, and she’s a keen DIYer with a passion for trying all her saved Pinterest projects!

Dr. Alex

Dr Alex is another amazing veterinarian providing care at the O’Halloran Hill Vet Centre. She’s South East born and bred! Alex grew up on a farm near a small country town. After working for a few years in a mixed animal practice, she moved back to the big smoke. Alex loves surgery and enjoys the variety of being a GP. She’s s kept busy with her chocolate Labrador, Charlie (who mostly knows the difference between what is edible and what isn’t) and is the proud aunt to Sierra, a German Shepherd (who is scared of his own shadow). Alex’s passions include Harry Potter, cross stitch, playing netball, kayaking and getting outdoors. She loves watching football, both SAAFL and AFL and she is a mad Adelaide Crows supporter; if the game is on, you know where Alex will be!

Dr. Rachael

Dr Rachael is a wealth of knowledge. Born and graduated in New Zealand, Rachel worked in the UK for 22 years before moving to Adelaide (where her husband is originally from). Having achieved her certificate in Homeopathy for pets, Rachel loves to incorporate a natural approach with modern veterinary medicine. Her special interests include dentistry, acupuncture, and feline and rabbit medicine. In her spare time, Rachel loves spending time with her husband and two children. You will often find her enjoying many outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing.

Dr. Karen

Dr Karen is one of the skilled veterinarians at the Hilton location. Born in England (yep! She’s a Pom!), Karen moved to Adelaide in 2014 with her husband and 2 children. According to Karen’s mum, when Karen was 11 years old, she suddenly announced she was going to be a vet. She did it and has been one for over 20 years now. Karen loves the variety of her job, with her passion being surgery and ultrasonography. Keeping her busy is her Alaskan Malamute Slugsy. Being brought up with motorbikes, Karen got her licence when she turned 30. She loves the feeling of freedom riding the bike brings.

Dr Beverley
Dr. Beverley

Beverley lived and worked in the western suburbs since she arrived in Adelaide in 2013 from New Zealand. Bev graduated from Massey University Veterinary School in 2000. She loves meeting people and their pets and has a keen interest in preventative health care and husbandry.

Bev loves working with all the companion animal species, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, lizards, turtles, and wildlife. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Adelaide, its beaches and national parks with her husband and small papillon cross Welby. She has recently adopted two gorgeous rag doll cats to add to her family. Bev is very much looking forward to meeting you and your pets.

Cert IV Vet Nurse / Nurse Coordinator

Born in ACT, Grace moved to Adelaide in 2007. Grace’s passion for animals started at an early age, being surrounded by Golden Retrievers, rabbits and even her very own Goat! Visiting a vet hospital open day at age 7, Grace was inspired to get into the industry. She obtained her nursing certificate in 2013.

Grace loves the variety of being an “allrounder” nurse. The most satisfying part of her career is being able to help clients and patients in their time of need.

Grace spent 4 months in Darjeeling, India as a shelter volunteer. It was the most eye-opening and rewarding experience of her life. Keeping her busy at home are two exotic short hairs, Theodore, AKA “Grumpy cat (he is more dog than a cat), Beatrix (little miss bossy…. she yells a lot!) and recently acquired Pippa, the Pomeranian cross Chihuahua. If it shines, sparkles, is covered in glitter, or is associated with makeup… Grace has it, wants it or NEEDS it!

Cert IV Veterinary Nurse

Born and raised in SA, Jordi spent most of her childhood with dogs around and knew since she was little that she wanted to grow up to take care of them.

After completing her Bachelor of Animal Science in 2017 and a bit unsure of which life direction to take, she decided to apply for her Certificate in Vet Nursing, not knowing she would fall head over heels in love with the course only two weeks in.

She has a passion for all things puppy, and when she’s not helping clients with new puppy questions and stealing puppy cuddles, you will find her in the frontline, ensuring all our clients feel cared for. Jordi loves a chat, and she is passionate about keeping pets healthy.

At home, she believes feathered pets bring just as much love to your life as furry ones. She is currently kept on her toes by her sassy cockatiel Nina and bourkes parrot Rosalina, and when she’s not at home playing video games or baking, she’s probably camping out with her Medieval Reenactment Club at one of the local medieval fairs.

Cert IV Vet Nurse

Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, Sandi started her animal care journey volunteering at the Adelaide Zoo and RSPCA Lonsdale Shelter. Sandi’s passion for animal care led her to study animal studies focusing on wildlife and companion animals and then completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Upon completion of her studies, Sandi started her career in the animal industry and joined our team in 2021.

Sandi spends her spare time exploring different walking trails with her Chihuahua Chewy and enjoying leisure time at home with Cookie, a domestic short hair, and her beloved partner Daniel.

Consult Nurse

Adelaide born and bred, and always a southern girl, Megan started her journey by being a wildlife volunteer. Quickly realising her dream, she began studying for her nursing certificate. Through work experience at O’Halloran Hill, she ‘Wowed’ the team so much that she was offered a nursing position. Megan’s passion for outpatient nursing developed from her love of helping patients and developing bonds with her clients. She aspires to study in the field of compassion nursing. The biggest nerd of the team, Megan’s obsessions include Supernatural, Batman, Star Wars (original trilogy) and Harry Potter (if there’s a collectable, she will buy it!).

Training Vet Nurse

Born and raised in South Australia, Jemma’s passion for animals started at a young age. Growing up on an acreage with horses, donkeys, cows, dogs, and rabbits, a career in veterinary nursing was a natural progression. Volunteering in South Africa, Jemma’s passion for helping animals grew tenfold. Upon returning home, she immediately started her journey to become a veterinary nurse.

Jemma joined our team in 2021. Learning all areas of nursing, Jemma is passionate about companion animals and is committed to treating all pets like her own.

At home, Jemma enjoys the company of her Labrador, Evie, who is her best friend. Jemma enjoys going on hike adventures and exploring new nature walks with Evie by her side.

Nurse Assistant

Born in Adelaide, Katrina has always had a passion for animals. Working with animals has always been a goal, pushing Katrina to complete her bachelor’s in Animal Science and Certificate III in Animal Studies Wildlife.

Katrina has a dog which she adopted from AWL, named Milo. Milo is a constant source of entertainment with his consistent need for attention and his hilarious zoomies around the yard.

Katrina loves hiking, camping and getting out with her dog and husband. She is looking forward to a fulfilling future in the vet industry, as well as continually learning within the clinic.

Cert IV Vet Nurse / Nurse Coordinator

SA born and raised, Hannah always knew she wanted a career working with animals. Pets make Hannah happy, and in return, she wants to help make a difference in the lives of the patients she meets. Her passion for building trust with clients, and her patience in providing comfort to worried pets, make Hannah the perfect inpatient nurse. She is the hand for your pets to hold when you can’t be there.

At home, Hannah’s fur family includes Ruby the Boxer (a clumsy, stubborn, crazy lap dog) and Oliver, a domestic short-haired (the unpredictable one – there’s one in every family!) In her downtime, Hannah loves gardening, playing soccer and spending time with her partner, friends and family.

Originally from Wales, Dora left the UK in 2017 after finishing university and spent the next few years travelling around Australia and New Zealand. This big leap led her to gain a huge variety of new experiences and meet numerous people along the way, helping fuel her enthusiastic and friendly nature. In 2020 she moved to Perth to study for her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. Once complete and deciding this was the career for her, she found a job at Hilton Vet Centre.

From a young age, Dora had always had a keen interest in animals, and although she has no current pets of her own, she will always give love and care to your pets when they come to visit. Animal care has always been a passion for her, and while working at Hilton Vet Centre has learnt many new skills and discovered a new interest in surgical care.

In her spare time, Dora can be found anywhere outdoors, whether it’s swimming at the beach, out on a run or hiking in the hills. She is always up for an adventure. Dora is a keen hockey player and has been an active player for the past 15 years; currently a member of the Adelaide University Hockey Club.
